Government Officials Give Presenta Plaques to say Thanks!

by Presenta Plaque | on Mar 31, 2017 | No Comments

Elected officials are recognizing the importance of giving plagues to their constituents. The plague might be as a thank you for volunteer work or for honoring a job well done in the community.

Recently Pennsylvania Senator Mario Scavello showed his appreciation to the many people he serves.  Scavello used a Presenta Plaque to congratulate the Savage Wolves CrossFit on the recent grand opening of their new facility.

At another grand opening, Senator Scavello congratulated the TCC/The Cellular Connection with a Presenta Plaque to send best wishes for success.

In Dumas, Texas, Police Chief Nelson presented Officer Heathington with a Presenta Plaque to recognize her lifesaving efforts for saving the life of a citizen.

A Presenta Plaque was also used by the Champaign, Illinois Police Department to frame the Oath of Office taken by a police officer.

The City of North Miami Beach honored a couple of their employees with a special recognition plaque.

The list goes on and on. Whatever the occasion, a plaque from our company is a great way to show the appreciation an employee or citizen of a community deserves.

Plaques to Share Memories – Plaque Kits

by Presenta Plaque | on Jan 30, 2017 | No Comments

Moving soon? A house comes in many forms – a mobile home, an apartment, a condominium, townhouse, a treehouse and anything else in between. However, the form of house almost always does not matter as much as what is in it – because those are the people and things that turn your house into a home. Moving into a new home can be stressful and it is easy to get caught up and overwhelmed with everything that that is required to make that house a home.

Here at Presenta Plaques, we would like to remind you to let go a little!

It is possible to put in too much focus and energy on the little details that you may forget the simplicity – the warmth when you have a home to put your feet up at the end of the day.  Take a breather and try switching gears once in a while, don’t let that stress enter your new home. Take a few breaths before you enter and leave all the negative energy from the outside world on the front steps. Make sure your home is strictly a peaceful, happy place!

Speaking of a happy place, make memories and share your home with others. The more you share it with people you love and fill it with laughter, the more it will feel like home. Invite guests over and host dinner parties, watch a movie with loved ones and spend more time enjoying the comforts of home. Don’t run out every chance you get! The more time you spend at home, the more you will start to appreciate it and make it work for you.

With all the memories you are going to make in your new home, what about a plaque to commemorate it? Not only would it be beautiful décor, it would also be a beautiful reminder of how your home should feel. Presenta Plaque kits are easy to assemble, versatile and would make a beautiful décor piece. It would be perfect on your wall in your new home! Check out our website for more details on how to order your very own kit! Congratulations on moving in!

Welcoming a New Business with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 29, 2016 | No Comments

The mom and pop business is still a necessary part of our community.  These are the businesses started by everyday people that are not associated with a big box retailer or a larger commercial place.  These are the businesses that look forward to serving the community with their services and goods and ask nothing in return other than your continued support.  When these new businesses open up a lot of towns and municipalities welcome them to the fold and when they are welcomed they honored in a special way.

One such example is the newest business in Bangor, Pennsylvania titled “Grace on Broadway.”  “Grace on Broadway” is a store of odds and ends and refurbished furniture that many would describe as shabby chic.  They recently celebrated their Grand Opening in the small town of Bangor with a party of sorts that welcomed them into the community.  One of those in attendance for the event was Pennsylvania Senator Mario Scavello.  He attended the festivities to not only welcome them into the community but to celebrate the accomplishments of “Grace on Broadway” for achieving their goal to successfully open this business.  Not only did the store have a formal ribbon cutting, but during the ceremony, they were presented with an award of recognition by the senator.  The certificate was placed inside a Presenta Plaque kit and recognized their hard work and welcomed them into the town.

What makes this plaque so special is that this gives them a permanent reminder of what it was like to get this all put together.  This is something that can be proudly displayed in the store for all who visit to see.  It can serve as a reminder of the work they put into the business and the feeling they got when it was successfully opened.  It can help start up a wall within their shop where they can portray other achievements and milestones.  Perhaps the next plaque could be the first dollar they made.  Maybe there is a plaque to celebrate the 100th customer.  Another reason would be to recognize other employees when they do well.  Maybe it can be a reminder of their first anniversary.  Whatever the cause is Presenta Plaque has a plaque kit available to help you display it.

These small businesses work harder and longer days than most big box retailers.  Many times the people who own them are the only employees there and that means at least a six day work week to make sure their business thrives.  When they do a little recognition is nice and means the world to them.  You can only imagine what it felt like to have a Senator recognize the achievement of “Grace on Broadway” in Bangor, PA.  Presenta Plaque of course is proud to be a part of the recognition.

When you have a recognition come up like this, remember Presenta Plaque can help you properly display it.  Their plaque kits are stylish, affordable and easy to assemble.  It takes just a few moments of time to put this all together for a business, but the end result can and will last a lifetime.

Plaques to Honor Our Military Men and Women

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 16, 2016 | No Comments

This month we celebrated Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving.  One celebrated the lives of those who fought so hard to preserve our freedom and rights.  The other is to celebrate all that you are thankful for in your life.  During these times there is a simple project that you can do to honor anyone you choose to.

For example, let’s take the mayor of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.  He wanted to do whatever he could to pay tribute to some of the men and women who fought for this country.  Specifically those who are housed in a assisted living center in his town.  Yes, he could have easily made a donation or just supplied them a meal, but the mayor decided to take it a step further.  For each of those military members he found out something special about them.   He wrote is up with a photograph attached and presented their special story inside a plaque.  Each of these men and women were presented their plaque at a special ceremony that took place in that assisted living center.  Some of them contained a newspaper article that was written about them.  Others got a collage of photos with the special story put together.  Regardless of what they received these men and women were grateful.   It proved to them that there are people who care for them and it gave them a memento to remind them of the day and the events involved.

This simple gesture is something that you can do yourself.  Nearly every community has an assisted living center or retirement village.  Go in there and learn about your neighbors.  Sit with them, hear their stories and be inspired by them.  Take the time to let them share photos with you.  From there sit down and write down what you learned.  Add photos to whatever you write about them.  Presenta Plaque has the perfect way to get that gift back to them.  Our plaque kits are not only pretty to look at but they are easy to assemble.  Once it is put together go back and present it to them.  It doesn’t have to be in a ceremony like the mayor of Chippewa Falls did, it can be through a personal interaction, just to show these people you care.

This doesn’t have to just be a Veteran’s Day project.  Take Thanksgiving for example.  A lot of people are hosting family and friends in their home.  Why not make a plaque that will not only serve as a place setting, but as a token of appreciation as well.  Perhaps you are hosting your parents, grandparents, nieces and nephews or even some friends.  In a day where social media is prominent there is plenty of access for people to get their hands on pictures and memories of these individuals.  Put together a collage of memories.  Add their name to the top and place it once again in one of our kits.  Place these plaques where they will be seated.  They will act as not only a place card, but they can help stimulate dinner conversation.  People will want to share their plaque and tell stories about the memories.  At the end of the evening they can take them home and it is a memento of the evening.  A sweet parting gift that was easy to make.

These plaques can be quite simple to put together and our kits are the perfect way to do it.  Check out our website for plaque options and order yours today!

Honoring Students with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 26, 2016 | No Comments

Today our students are pulled in a variety of different directions.  They are bogged down with school lessons, homework and even extracurricular activities.  All of these things combined help students to get into the schools of their choice and show that they are well-rounded.  We should recognize these achievements with a plaque and as parents show them off as they happen.

Good grades are expected when you are in school, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t take work to achieve.  For some students those good grades take hours of discipline and dedication to the schoolwork to get in the school’s good graces.  When those good test scores come in or good report cards, they should be celebrated and recognized.  Why not display it an elegant manner.  Our Presenta Plaque kits are the perfect way to display those perfect scores.  You can place them up in your home in a prominent location.  The act shows not only that you are proud of the achievement but it can also serve as motivation for the student as well.

A lot of our students are involved with extracurricular activities such as athletics or academic clubs.  While they are involved in those activities, there will be events you want to preserve and remember.  Maybe it’s a photo taken after scoring the winning point.  Perhaps it is the program from a convention they attended with an academic team.  These memories can all be perfectly framed in one of our plaque kits.  They serve as a permanent reminder of that time and something that can stimulate not only conversation but memories of that occasion.

Finally what about the acceptance letter to the university or college?  All of this work ultimately goes towards that goal.  The dream college your child has worked towards.  The first step they are taking towards adulthood.  Show it off, frame the letter and let the world see that accomplishment on paper.  Be proud of the hard work that went into it and the end result because of it.

Recently the Rotary Club of Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado recognized one of these student achievers.  Alec  Greven was recently named the “Rotary Student of the Month” for the Rotary Club of Castle Rock.  The group used a Presenta Plaque kit to present him with an award recognizing this honor.   Alec was presented the award during the group’s monthly meeting by Castle View High School principal, Rex Corr and the Rotary’s president, Jerry Lionetti.  The award was presented in front of family and friends and it being placed inside a Presenta Plaque made it feel more substantial than just being handed a certificate.  It is something this student will remember and display with pride and will be something he can pull out in the future to look at and be reminded of.

Know your students work hard.  Their hard work should be recognized where possible.  Our kits help you do so with ease.  Maybe the next time you want to remind someone of their special achievement check out one of our plaque kits to do so.

Preserve Arts and Crafts in a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 23, 2016 | No Comments

Fall is the perfect time of year to craft with your children or on your own.  Colors are vibrant, holidays are approaching and there are plenty of opportunities for people to put nicely crafted projects together and preserve in a plaque.

Halloween is the first Fall holiday you get into.  During that time your little goblins and ghouls may dress up so picture perfectly that you may want to capture that image.  Just about every individual is armed with a high-quality camera in the form of their smart phone.  Along with filters and apps that are available you can make those precious moments look picture perfect.  Why keep those photos to yourself.  Don’t just share them on social media but display them proudly.  Why not develop and blow up the photos?  You can place them on traditional paper, canvas or even silk screened on material.  Once that is complete, you should display it.  Why not use one of our simply to put together Presenta Plaque kits.  They come put together and make it easy to display your item for all to see.  Since they come in sophisticated colors it will match most people’s décor either in their home or office.

This is all the time for family craft projects.  Encourage your children to create cards for their friends and family.  Store bought cards are nice, but they take a lot of the personalization out of things.  Sit down as a family and create an image together.  Maybe it’s a skeleton of sorts, perhaps it is a haunted house that has creatures around it, whatever that image is it will be yours to give out and use.  Save one of those images and once again use a plaque from us to display it.

If you are not the creative type but have received cards from others a Halloween collage could be a lot of fun.   Get some cardstock and take either the whole image or portions of the different cards and glue them to the cardstock.  You can perhaps take a photograph of a Fall scene and cut out the other images to place on that scene which is serving as a backdrop.  By framing and displaying it enables you to remember who gave you cards on the occasion and it may serve as a decoration for future years to come.  Every time you look at the framed art you will immediately be transported back into that time period and remember the events all over again.

Let’s not forget where the concept of “fall” comes from.  Once our foliage begins changing color from the temperature, those leaves then begin to fall.  Those leaves are so vibrant and colorful they are perfect to preserve.  Take a couple of the more vibrant leaves and once again place them on cardstock.  Put them in interesting patterns and designs on the paper.  Buy the liquid that you use when you are planning to decoupage and gently brush it on the leaves that you have laid out.  Once the liquid dries the leaves will remain in place and have a prettier look and texture to them.  Place them inside one of our plaque kits and put them on display.  A series of these types of frames is an easy decoration to put on display in your home or office to represent the season.

Our plaques are versatile and functional and beautiful.  They can be enjoyed for a variety of reasons and are so easy to put together that you will have no problem coming up for a use for them.  Check out our website for styles and ordering information.

Why Plaques are Great for Rewards and Recognition

by Presenta Plaque | on Sep 22, 2016 | No Comments

Remember when you were a child and made your parents a drawing?  When we did those things our parents many times proudly displayed this accomplishment on the refrigerator door.  Now fast-forward 20 plus years and we are celebrating another accomplishment.  Why than as adults are we afraid to proudly display that?  Here at Presenta Plaque we say be proud and let us help you show everyone around you what you did.

Some accomplishments that are plaque worthy can include a special award from work, maybe you made an appearance in the local paper, perhaps your child’s team scored big in the Friday night game, whatever it is be proud and show it off.

Some people fear a plaque may come across as gloating, but why think that way?  Plaques can add visual appeal to a room.  Who wants to sit in a room with plain white walls.  Plaques can give you and your guests something to look at.  It can give people a focal point to look at instead feeling the need to stare at you the whole time.  It can take boring to inviting.

Plaques can also be a conversation starter.  Sometimes when there is an ice breaker needed during an interview a plaque that is showing off something can give you something to talk about.  If you are talking about your company’s achievements than a plaque can help you do so.  For the person who’s office you are sitting in, having a plaque there puts them in a position of power and in a comfort zone in front of the guest.

Plaques can also help to establish credibility for not only you but the organization you work for.  Not every potential client will believe what you say you and your company have accomplished, by having a plaque there listing accomplishments it helps substantiate the achievement.  This can be especially vital when you have a piece displayed from an organization vital to your industry.

Plaques can also serve as a motivator.  Employees like to be recognized in front of their peers.  By displaying the accomplishments of employees on a plaque you give people something to strive for.  The same thing can be done for employee achievements from outside the office.  Why not give recognition to employees other accomplishments.  It can be a display put together in a breakroom setting and gives people something to talk about and acknowledge.

Finally, plaques just simply cheer you up.  When you are having a bad day what is better than a simple reminder of a happier time.  It can also serve as a personal motivator for yourself.  It is a reminder of something that you achieved and can be obtained once again.  It reminds you that you have achieved something special and should and deserve to be proud of it.

Presenta Plaque makes displaying these achievements simple and easy.  Our kits make putting it together simple and they are designed to look great on display on either a wall or shelf.  So the next time you’re given a special recognition, remember, Presenta Plaque has you covered.

Celebrate Mom with Gift She’ll Always Remember

by Presenta Plaque | on Apr 17, 2016 | No Comments

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and by now, most children are preparing to drop by to their local flower shop for a bouquet of flowers or a nice heartfelt card. But while they’ll make a nice display for the rest of the month of May, they’ll likely end up in the trash or a shoe box stashed in the closet once they’ve outlived the Mother’s Day celebrations. This year, honor mom with something beautiful and permanent like plaque she can proudly display at home or in her office.

A plaque is not likely something she’s received in her life except through work or school. But a plaque, especially from someone she loves as much as her kids could be an incredible gesture she will always cherish and of course, have the plaque to remember it by.

But once you’ve picked the plaque, it’s important to decide on the perfect message to include with it, which can be a challenge when you don’t know exactly what to say. There are plenty of ways to say ‘I love you’ but finding the right words to express yourself can be hard, so we’ve put together some suggestions that can help you get say just what you need to say.

1. Congratulate her on an achievement:

If she recently achieved something she’s proud of or worthy of notice, Mother’s Day could be the perfect time to give her a plaque that will encapsulate that achievement forever. While not every achievement yields a plaque from an employer or other institution, who’s to say it’s not worthy of one? If you think it’d make her day even more special, we say go for it.

2. World’s Best Mom:

There isn’t quite another way to say it that’s as impactful as a plaque. While there are cards and other small mementos that can say it, they are not quite worthy of displaying in her office at work or at home.

3. Display a certificate that means a lot to her:

It could be a marriage license, another pinnacle in her life that she’d love to display properly but she does not have the means to. While frames are a popular way to display diplomas and other certificates, there’s something about a plaque that adds some level of permanence to the achievement that there is just no equivalent for.

Celebrate the Women in Your Life This International Women’s Day

by Presenta Plaque | on Mar 04, 2016 | No Comments

This March 8th is International Women’s Day. This day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women all over the world. Formerly known as International Working Women’s Day, the day is also considered a call to action for gender equality for women all over the world. But in the home, the day is considered something much more personal for families as it’s a day set aside to celebrate, love and cherish the women in our lives.

This year, show moms, sisters, wives, daughters or girlfriends just how important of a role they play in your life, not just on March 8th, but every day.

1. Spa Day

Give the special woman/women in your life a day to relax and escape the troubles of everyday life. Set them up with a day at the spa to unwind and relax worry-free or go the extra mile and set up a massage appointment at their favorite spa in town.

2. Clean Up

Whether she does all the cleaning or you share it, take care of all the dirty work and let her come home to a spick and span and span home and maybe even some dinner and a bottle of wine to unwind with.

3. Write Them a Letter

No matter who it’s for, they’ll appreciate hearing, in your words, why they’re important to you. The fact that you set aside time from your day to let them know you truly care is a wonderful thought and a nice way to say what you need to say.

4. Send Her a Gift to Work

Send her a gift to remind her that you’re thankful to have her. Whether it’s your mom, wife or just a really great friend, let them know you’re thankful for them on this day and every day. And of course, you might get some extra props for knowing of the holiday!

5. Get them Their Very Own Plaque

A plaque is not something anyone gets just every day, but it’s certainly something they’ll always treasure and proudly display. Order a plaque and personalize it then give it to them as a gift, whether it’s for International Women’s Day, a birthday or any other occasion, it will be something they cherish for many years to come.
