What to Write on a Certificate Inside a Presenta Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Aug 11, 2017 | No Comments

Whether you’re a business owner, non-profit, or a government agency, no doubt you’re needing at least a box of Presenta Plaques to keep on hand.

Even though you have the recipients picked out for the plaque, you might not be sure of the right words to use. Basically, there are no firm rules on how to word an award certificate, but there are some helpful guidelines to make it look more professional.

On most certificates, there are seven wording sections. As long as you put the title and name of the recipient, you can pretty much do what you want on the rest. For example, “Certificate of Appreciation” followed by the recipient’s name.

In between the title and name, you can always put the presentation line. i.e. Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to John Smith. Then you have the option of putting who the certificate is from whether it’s your name or your business. “….is awarded to John Smith by Mrs. Jones or by the Smith Company.”

If you wish, you can write a short paragraph about why the person is receiving the award. You can also add the date and a signature. Signatures make the certificate look more legitimate. Usually, a single signature line is either aligned to the right or centered. A graphic or a seal can also be placed in the lower right or left-hand corner.

So many options are available. If you haven’t already, order your box of Presenta Plaques now so you’ll be sure to have them for that special occasion.

Plaques to Celebrate Law Enforcement Officers

by Presenta Plaque | on Jan 25, 2017 | No Comments

In the United States, law enforcement officers put their lives at risk on the daily for the safekeeping and protection of others. They serve with valor, honor and distinction – and often with auspicious outcomes. However, the protection of law comes at a price. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund statistics, there are approximately 60,000 assaults on law enforcement officers each year, resulting in nearly 16,000 injuries, an average of 146 officers have been killed in line of duty and throughout the United States history, more than 20,000 law enforcement officers have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Even though there is no way to completely repay law enforcement officers, they should still be commended for their dedication. Our Presenta Plaque kits are the perfect way to honor their valor. In November of 2016, Lourenke Kidson of St. Louis County Police Department was honored with a plaque for returning to protect and serve, after leaving in 2012. In December of 2016, Sr. Officer Ronald Hall or “Pookie” was commended for his 30 years of excellence in service as a police officer for the Texas City Police Department. Officer Hall has never called in sick in the 30 years he has been of service and his extraordinary dedication did not go unnoticed.

Our law enforcement officers work hard and dedicate their lives to protect us. We should be aware of that and appreciate their hard work. Our plaques are accessible, ergonomic, versatile, functional and beautiful. What are you waiting for?  Check out our website for more information and how to place your order.

Honoring Students with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 26, 2016 | No Comments

Today our students are pulled in a variety of different directions.  They are bogged down with school lessons, homework and even extracurricular activities.  All of these things combined help students to get into the schools of their choice and show that they are well-rounded.  We should recognize these achievements with a plaque and as parents show them off as they happen.

Good grades are expected when you are in school, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t take work to achieve.  For some students those good grades take hours of discipline and dedication to the schoolwork to get in the school’s good graces.  When those good test scores come in or good report cards, they should be celebrated and recognized.  Why not display it an elegant manner.  Our Presenta Plaque kits are the perfect way to display those perfect scores.  You can place them up in your home in a prominent location.  The act shows not only that you are proud of the achievement but it can also serve as motivation for the student as well.

A lot of our students are involved with extracurricular activities such as athletics or academic clubs.  While they are involved in those activities, there will be events you want to preserve and remember.  Maybe it’s a photo taken after scoring the winning point.  Perhaps it is the program from a convention they attended with an academic team.  These memories can all be perfectly framed in one of our plaque kits.  They serve as a permanent reminder of that time and something that can stimulate not only conversation but memories of that occasion.

Finally what about the acceptance letter to the university or college?  All of this work ultimately goes towards that goal.  The dream college your child has worked towards.  The first step they are taking towards adulthood.  Show it off, frame the letter and let the world see that accomplishment on paper.  Be proud of the hard work that went into it and the end result because of it.

Recently the Rotary Club of Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado recognized one of these student achievers.  Alec  Greven was recently named the “Rotary Student of the Month” for the Rotary Club of Castle Rock.  The group used a Presenta Plaque kit to present him with an award recognizing this honor.   Alec was presented the award during the group’s monthly meeting by Castle View High School principal, Rex Corr and the Rotary’s president, Jerry Lionetti.  The award was presented in front of family and friends and it being placed inside a Presenta Plaque made it feel more substantial than just being handed a certificate.  It is something this student will remember and display with pride and will be something he can pull out in the future to look at and be reminded of.

Know your students work hard.  Their hard work should be recognized where possible.  Our kits help you do so with ease.  Maybe the next time you want to remind someone of their special achievement check out one of our plaque kits to do so.

Presenta Plaque Kit Used by Racine Police Department

by Presenta Plaque | on Aug 31, 2016 | No Comments

Recently the Racine Police Department in Wisconsin honored one of their own.  For more than 20 years Brent Hutchinson was not only an officer for the department, but for the better part of that time he was an investigator for them.

This year Investigator Hutchinson retired following 24 years of service for that community.  As you can imagine his fellow officers wanted to honor him the best way possible.  Not only did they throw a celebration for him in his honor, but they presented him a plaque to recognize his service.  A plaque he can proudly display wherever he chooses.  This plaque will be a constant reminder of not only his service, but that moment of recognition and the love and respect his co-workers had for him.

The plaque used for this event was one supplied from right here at Presenta Plaque.  Our kits are easy to assemble and can really make a statement for someone.  That statement can work in both ways, meaning the plaques look good for those giving the recognition away and make for a lovely gift for the person receiving it.

The kits put the certificate, or whatever you choose, inside a beautiful enclosure.  Those enclosures can be in a lovely wood grain or a marble looking finish.  The type you choose will be determined by the look you are trying to achieve.  The marble appearance may feel , for some, to be a little more substantial, while others would prefer that would grain look and feel.  The black marble on the other hand would go with most motif’s while the wood could potentially clash depending on where it is placed.

Once again the frames themselves are just left up to personal preference.  What makes this a nice gift is that those who are purchasing one of these kits will have a little bit of room to decide what to place inside.  For a situation like this retirement, a certificate would make the best presentation for the recipient.  The certificate can talk about the appreciation the organization has for the individual all while recognizing their service.

For a more personal or individualized form of recognition perhaps folks can sign or create personal messages.  These can also be displayed nicely in one of our plaque kits.  The goal here is to make the person feel special and that their work was not only acknowledged but appreciated.  These kits are the easiest way to do so.

Whether you are planning a retirement celebration, employee of the month or an attendance recognition let Presenta Plaque be your go to place to recognize someone.  Check out all of our kit options and find the one that suits you the best.  Say it with class with a Presenta Plaque.

Celebrate the Women in Your Life This International Women’s Day

by Presenta Plaque | on Mar 04, 2016 | No Comments

This March 8th is International Women’s Day. This day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women all over the world. Formerly known as International Working Women’s Day, the day is also considered a call to action for gender equality for women all over the world. But in the home, the day is considered something much more personal for families as it’s a day set aside to celebrate, love and cherish the women in our lives.

This year, show moms, sisters, wives, daughters or girlfriends just how important of a role they play in your life, not just on March 8th, but every day.

1. Spa Day

Give the special woman/women in your life a day to relax and escape the troubles of everyday life. Set them up with a day at the spa to unwind and relax worry-free or go the extra mile and set up a massage appointment at their favorite spa in town.

2. Clean Up

Whether she does all the cleaning or you share it, take care of all the dirty work and let her come home to a spick and span and span home and maybe even some dinner and a bottle of wine to unwind with.

3. Write Them a Letter

No matter who it’s for, they’ll appreciate hearing, in your words, why they’re important to you. The fact that you set aside time from your day to let them know you truly care is a wonderful thought and a nice way to say what you need to say.

4. Send Her a Gift to Work

Send her a gift to remind her that you’re thankful to have her. Whether it’s your mom, wife or just a really great friend, let them know you’re thankful for them on this day and every day. And of course, you might get some extra props for knowing of the holiday!

5. Get them Their Very Own Plaque

A plaque is not something anyone gets just every day, but it’s certainly something they’ll always treasure and proudly display. Order a plaque and personalize it then give it to them as a gift, whether it’s for International Women’s Day, a birthday or any other occasion, it will be something they cherish for many years to come.

Awarding the Little Athletes in Your Life

by Presenta Plaque | on Feb 18, 2016 | No Comments

If you’re lucky enough you probably have a few or more kid athletes you root for every Sunday or two. Kids often get involved in sports from a young age and for most of them, just getting to play on the field is reward enough and for parents, just being able to cheer them on is a great experience in itself.

But for those parents looking to encourage kids to continue participating in this healthy lifestyle even as they grow older, it’s important to remind them why this lifestyle is important for them and why it matters to you. As kids grow older and start to take interest in tablets and smartphone screens, it becomes a parent’s job to push them to continue leading a healthy and active lifestyle. Here are some great ways to encourage them:

1. Involve Yourself

As a busy parent, it’s easy to take on the role of chauffer and occasionally ask how the game went. But it’s important to let your kids know that you’re still cheering for them whether that means buying the team some pizza after the game or wearing their jersey number!

2. Go to Their Games

Whether they’re cool enough to say it or not, kids really do like having their parents in the stands cheering them on. Sure, they understand parents are busy, but at the end of the day they’ll be thankful you took time out of your schedule to come see them do their best.

3. Reward Them

Win or not, as a parent, you’re allowed to reward them. Many believe that the “trophy just for showing up” philosophy leads to more damage in the real world than it does good, but if you can’t be there to give them the high five at the end of the day, who will?

4. Have the Family Help Show Support

Have the family get together and make some jerseys with their number before a big game. It will mean a lot to them to see even the pesky little brothers or sisters taking their time to show them they’re rooting for them too.

5. Give Them Their Own Plaque

No matter how the season, went let them know sometimes your best is all you got with a plaque of their very own. Engrave it with their name, number and team name and add a message that says exactly what you want to say. It’s a piece they’ll cherish even when their soccer championship days are long gone.

11 Tips for a Fabulous Awards Party

by Presenta Plaque | on Jan 11, 2016 | No Comments

Are you having an awards party this season? We have a few tricks up our sleeves to make it the most unforgettable party of the year—try these tips to make it a party your friends will talk about for years to come.

• Make invitations that are black and gold with the same font as the Oscars
• Include the activities that are going to happen at the party in the invitation – especially superlatives
• Ask guests to each bring a bottle of champagne or their favorite sparkling wine, so you can get the night off to a celebratory start, and you can end it that way, too!
• Make a dress code for the event (black tie affair) – let them know there will be a photographer present
• Have a red carpet with someone taking pictures of everyone who arrives — maybe have some cutouts of the nominees to get photos with–make sure to capture a few photos. Ladies are very picky about how they look in photos!
• Have a photo printer available at the end of the red carpet, so everyone can have a picture of themselves with their favorite actor or actress
• Have ballots at the end of the red carpet, so people can vote on superlatives (best dressed, best hair, comedian, etc.)
• Get a photo booth with fun accessories like moustaches, hats, glasses, etc.
• In the restroom, have a basket of a few things that are needed for emergencies like bobby pins, hairspray, deodorant and various other hygiene products.
• Serve Hors D’oeuvres that are A-list approved
• Make a couple of drinks named after your favorite actors or actresses (or movie). Make sure the drink matches the personality of the actor or movie!
• Rent an old time popcorn machine and have black and gold bags made to match the occasion. Load it up with extra butter!
• Serve gold glittery desserts (glitter cupcakes, cake balls, etc.) Yes, there is edible glitter.
• At the end of the night, give out awards made by yours truly, Presenta Plaque, for the superlative winners

If you follow these 11 tips, you are guaranteed to have the party of a lifetime—at least until next year.

Reviving the Student Awards Assembly with Plaques

by Presenta Plaque | on Dec 31, 2015 | No Comments

The year 2015 has drawn to a close, but the academic year is only half way through. While assemblies have already taken place and awards have been distributed, classes will start up again soon and schools will be planning their next awards assembly before they know it.

But with assemblies taking place every year and the same awards being given out time and time again, it’s easy for kids to lose sight of what to strive for. Kids, especially elementary school aged kids thrive on positive reinforcement and rewards, so how do parents and teachers keep them focused on what’s important? Here are just a few ideas to change up next year’s awards assembly:

1.  Reward Good Character

Educators are big on encouraging academics. Assemblies almost always reward students for their excellence in different subjects, but they often forget to push other important traits such as helpfulness, determination and compassion—traits all too important to forget.

2. Make it Interactive

Sitting still is a bit of a challenge for a lot of kids, especially if they’re required to sit even longer for any reason besides learning in a classroom. Kids can get antsy and even bored during awards assemblies making them a not-so-fun event they are required to attend. Activities such as sing-alongs (depending on the student ages), magicians and animal shows can make for more excited and engaged students.

3.  Let Students Participate

Involving students with events like these is a great way to help students become more interested in the material of the assembly. Including student groups like choir, drama clubs and other performing arts can also help students feel like they are an important part of the event whether they’re being awarded or not. It can also help tremendously as—chances are—students would rather see their peers up on stage than hear the regular assembly speeches of adults.

4. Give Them an Award They’ll Always Remember

Most awards for students come in the form of paper or ribbons. But whether the award is meant to last for years to come or not, awards like these are special to kids and often something they hold on to for a long time. So why not reward the students who deserve it with their very own plaque build to last for many years to come? Visit www.presentaplaque.com to order plaques for your next big assembly.
