Remember that Special Someone with a Presenta Plaque on Veterans Day!

by Adam Solender | on Sep 19, 2017 | No Comments

Veterans Day is right around the corner, Saturday, November 11, 2017. It’s not too late, though, to order a box or two of Presenta Plaques to honor your heroes.

Our company works with large federal agencies such as the White House,  Department of Defense and the U.S. Secret Service. So, if you work in a government agency or a branch of the military, we can certainly help you with your needs in supplying plaques for those you wish to honor.

If you’re a business owner, a Presenta Plaque is a great way to show veterans at your company how much you appreciate their service. Why not have a short ceremony for the whole staff where you can present a plaque to a veteran?

Imagine the expression on your employees’ faces when everyone gathers around to see them accept a plaque for their service! Our plaques are relatively inexpensive but the impact they have comes out to a much greater value.

Presenta Plaque does not do engraving but rather sells plaques where you can slip a certificate into.

If you’re wondering what wording to include on a military plaque, you obviously want to start with the name of the individual including the rank and call sign (if applicable). Be extra careful to make sure capitalization, abbreviation and spelling is correct.

Next, include the organization name such as the department, squadron, battalion or team. If you’re giving the plaque during a recognition ceremony, then go ahead and put the date you’re giving it to the military member. Or you can write the dates of service. If you know of a significant contribution the service member made you can include that, too.

You can also include a slogan from the branch of the military the person served in and include a complimentary quote of appreciation.

We’re a veteran-owned business so we’re glad to help you with any of your needs!

Choosing the Right Words are Important on a Building Dedication Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Sep 13, 2017 | No Comments

Such a long list of ways to use Presenta Plaques. One that sometimes can be overlooked is a building dedication. If there’s a standout person who made the construction of a new building possible, why not memorialize them with a Presenta Plaque inside? Even if the dedication has already taken place, it’s never too late to hang a plaque reminding visitors who made it all possible.

One obstacle you might encounter is how to word a Presenta Plaque for a building. You want to make sure you get it right since words last forever. Getting the sentiment and message right can be a challenge, explaining why there’s a particular name on a building or who’s responsible for it.

It’s best to focus on one main thought. Maybe it’s the major contribution the person made or a highlight of their life. Always include dates on a building dedication plaque since it puts things more in perspective. Dates are a good way of connecting the present with the past.

In addition to the reason of the plaque and dates, you’ll want to include some type of tribute. It can simply be a thank you, a quote or even a few lines of poetry. The goal is to express the impact the person has made.

When writing a dedication, try to think how someone else might react to it when they see it for the first time. You might want to run it by a few associates before you put the certificate inside a Presenta Plaque.

Depending on the size of the building and the number of entrances, you might want to display several plaques around the building. You might also want to order extras to give to family members as a token of appreciation!

How to Properly Hang a Presenta Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Aug 25, 2017 | No Comments

Presenta Plaques are great for so many occasions. They’re great to give out to show your special appreciation to employees or volunteers. But they’re also nice to have to display your accomplishments such as awards or degrees and any special recognitions or honors your business or non-profit organization has received.

Hanging a Presenta Plaque is quite easy. But if you’ve never hung one before, you might be wondering how to do it.

A plaque can be hung on the wall just like a picture, family portrait or other art work. First, you obviously need to find the perfect spot for the plaque to hang. You want it to be at eye level so it’ll be easy for everyone to see.

Next, you’ll want to find a stud. You can do this by softly tapping on the wall until you hear a solid sound. Mark the location with a pencil.

Hammer the nail or J-hook into the stud. If it’s a nail, don’t leave more than a 1/2 inch showing. Hang the plaque and adjust it until it looks level. It’s always good to stand a few feet back.

The beautiful wood finishing on Presenta Plaques looks good with just about any decor in an office or home. Our plaques accent any color well and look even better when several are hung together on a wall.

If you don’t already have a box, order now so you’ll always have one on hand.

What to Write on a Certificate Inside a Presenta Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Aug 11, 2017 | No Comments

Whether you’re a business owner, non-profit, or a government agency, no doubt you’re needing at least a box of Presenta Plaques to keep on hand.

Even though you have the recipients picked out for the plaque, you might not be sure of the right words to use. Basically, there are no firm rules on how to word an award certificate, but there are some helpful guidelines to make it look more professional.

On most certificates, there are seven wording sections. As long as you put the title and name of the recipient, you can pretty much do what you want on the rest. For example, “Certificate of Appreciation” followed by the recipient’s name.

In between the title and name, you can always put the presentation line. i.e. Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to John Smith. Then you have the option of putting who the certificate is from whether it’s your name or your business. “….is awarded to John Smith by Mrs. Jones or by the Smith Company.”

If you wish, you can write a short paragraph about why the person is receiving the award. You can also add the date and a signature. Signatures make the certificate look more legitimate. Usually, a single signature line is either aligned to the right or centered. A graphic or a seal can also be placed in the lower right or left-hand corner.

So many options are available. If you haven’t already, order your box of Presenta Plaques now so you’ll be sure to have them for that special occasion.

Restaurants Find Many Uses for Our Plaques!

When you walk into a restaurant, what’s the first thing you see? You might notice the decor or maybe paintings on the wall, plants, hostess stand, bar, and so on. If it’s a fast food restaurant, your eyes probably immediately go to the menu board.

You might also observe plaques on the wall. Restaurants always like to brag about a write-up in the local paper. A plaque is a classy way to display the article.

When food inspectors visit restaurants, they typically hand out certificates for perfect or near perfect scores. Why not show-off all the hard work of your staff and display the certificate in a Presenta Plaque for customers to see?

While these are just a couple of reasons on why you should order plaques, keep in mind, there are plenty of other uses for them at a restaurant. When an employee goes the extra mile, what a great way to recognize all of their hard work than with a plaque? If you haven’t already done so, you could start an “Employee of the Month” program, giving a plaque out each time to the winner. Recognizing managers for a job well done is also another great idea for a Presenta Plaque.

In addition to presenting plaques to employees, make duplicate plaques so you can prominently display them for customers. It’ll send a strong message you care about your staff. You could even do a customer appreciation day where you offer discounts, displayed on a plaque at the front, or recognize loyal customers by presenting them with a plaque.

As you can see, there are so many uses for Presenta Plaques at restaurants. Order at least a box or two today! You’ll quickly be going through them.
