If there’s a standout person who made the construction of a new building possible, why not memorialize them with a Presenta Plaque inside? The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office presented Deputy Robert Spears with a Medal of Valor and Presenta Plaque award plaque for his bravery after a fiery traffic accident.

Phoenix, AZ. – Hernando County Sheriff’s Office honored Deputy Robert Spears for his bravery which resulted in the heroic rescue of a civilian after a fiery car crash. Deputy Spears was honored with a Medal of Valor as well as a Presenta Plaque kit at an awards ceremony last week.

Deputy Spears was honored for an incident that occurred back in July in which he was first on the scene at an accident with multiple victims. Deputy Spears was quick to assess the situation and immediately intervened, saving a man with the help of two civilians.

Though the accident resulted in five deaths, there would have been no survivors without Deputy Spears’ courage and quick-thinking. For that the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office decided to honor him with the department’s highest award.

Rewards and Recognition: What It Means to Your Employees to be Recognized

Many employers believe it’s unnecessary to reward employees for a job they are getting paid to do, but what employers need to understand is that materialistic reward systems are not at all the same as recognizing employees and acknowledging the effort and commitment they put into their work. Rewards tend to be a broad and impassive “high-five” to the employee for an overall job well done, but recognition is entirely about being noticed for a specific task or series of tasks undertaken especially well. In fact, the more precise and singular the task being recognized, the more effective the gesture is in motivating the employee.
