Phoenix, AZ. – On Tuesday, September 30th, Tempe-based award company Presenta Plaque, announced that it received its long-awaited Veteran-Owned Small Business Certification from the U.S. Veteran’s Administration.

The certification process requires several verification methods including both surprise and scheduled visits to the business by representatives of the VA. Because there are many measures the VA takes to ensure the legitimacy of the business, the process can often take several months.

The certification is a big step for small veteran-owned companies such as Presenta Plaque. Part of the certification process requires businesses to register with the VetBiz Registry, an online registry for veteran-owned businesses. The U.S. Government often turns to this registry first when seeking out business partnerships, making it a valued resource for veteran business owners.
