The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners declared October 24th Food Day with the help of a Presenta Plaque Quality Plaque Kit.

Phoenix, AZ. – Last Saturday, October 24th, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners proclaimed this day Food Day and presented Tracy Sides, executive director of Urban Oasis and member of the Saint Paul–Ramsey County Food & Nutrition Commission with a Presenta Plaque award kit to celebrate the day.

Alongside the the Ramsey Board of Commissioners was Commissioner Rafael Ortega, there to help Sides accept the award.

The day hopes to change not only the eating habits of Americans but its politics as well. According to Ramsey County, it focuses on the goal of raising awareness about better eating habits that are healthier and safer for consumers, the environment, farm animals and the people who grow and harvest crops.
