Rewards and Recognition

Media Loves Awards!

by Presenta Plaque | on Feb 02, 2018 | No Comments

Whether you’re the owner, general manager, managing editor, reporter, etc. of a TV, radio or print publication, chances are your organization has won a lot of awards.

Yearly competitions usually result in station group recognitions along with team awards for the newsroom and individual honors. It’s always nice to display the award in the lobby of your company so visitors can see them when they walk in. In addition, it’s a great idea to give each person who contributed to winning the award a Presenta Plaque so they too can display it at their desk, cubicle or office.

Whether it’s a TV or radio award for “Music Station of the Year”, “Best On-Air Personality”, a newsroom team award for “Best Breaking News Coverage”, “Best Investigative Reporting”, or individual awards like “Reporter of the Year”, “Best Use of Sound” or “Best Writer” a Presenta Plaque is a classy way to display accomplishments and share them with others.

What are you waiting for? Order a box or two of Presenta Plaques so you’ll have them on hand for the next awards competition.

Presenta Plaques are also a great way to display licenses, write-ups by other media outlets and even notices to visitors about policies of your organization.

Once you have a few boxes on hand, you’ll soon find many uses for our plaques! Order today!

We Have A Lot to Be Thankful for This Thanksgiving!

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 20, 2017 | No Comments

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, our family at Presenta Plaque has a lot to be thankful for, including our great customers!

For all of you who have ordered plaques throughout the years, we thank you! We also hope you will keep us in mind heading into the New Year.

If you own a business, such as a restaurant, a Presenta Plaque is a classy way to display a write-up in the local paper and a certificate bragging about a great food inspection score.

Don’t forget about your employees. When they go the extra mile, what a great way to recognize all of their hard work than with a plaque? Be sure to include the employee’s name, date and/or date they started with your company, the company name along with an award title.

In addition to presenting plaques to employees, make duplicate plaques so you can prominently display them for customers. It’ll send a strong message you care about your staff. You could even do a customer appreciation day where you offer discounts, displayed on a plaque at the front, or recognize loyal customers by presenting them with a plaque.

During this season of giving, you might want to recognize that special volunteer. Thanking volunteers is not only good manners but a great way to build relationships. When their friends and family members see their Presenta Plaque, it could also encourage them to get involved with your cause and volunteer and/or donate.

Think about people at your church. As part of the congregation, you might want to do something nice for a person in charge whether it’s the minister, priest, rabbi, or someone else on the administrative staff.

Of course, there’s always going to be special occasions such as the birth of a new baby or baby dedications, weddings, anniversaries, or retirements. A plaque is a nice way to mark the special day!

Going into the New Year, there are plenty of reasons why you should order a box of plaques from us.  Order today!

’Tis the Season to Give a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 12, 2017 | No Comments

You probably would rather not think about it but the holidays are right around the corner. There are parties to plan, decorations to put up and gifts to give. Speaking of gifts, finding that perfect gift for a family member or friend can be a challenge. But what about employees?

There’s no better way to show your appreciation for a job well done than a Presenta Plaque. Order a box or two and you’ll have enough to give one to each of your employees.

A Presenta Plaque can be a unique keepsake that employees will cherish for years. Be sure to include the employee’s name, date and/or date they started with your company, the company name along with an award title.

The award title can be basic such as “Star Performer”, “Service Award”, “Over Achiever” and so on. But you could always have some fun with the awards by giving them to the “Best Baker” (for potlucks), “Best Organizer”, “Best Office Decor”, “Office Comedian”, “The Socializer”, “Best Coffee Maker” etc.

You might find employees displaying these plaques on their office or cubicle walls. Or they might take their Presenta Plaque home and find a good spot to show it off to family and friends.

Bottom line, it’ll be different than anything your employees have probably received and the plaque will have special meaning since you put some thought into it.

If you end up doing an end-of-the-year party, it would be the perfect time to hand out plaques to employees. An office gathering works well, too.

You might want to keep some extra Presenta Plaques on hand for the rest of the year in case you want to recognize a promotion, retirement or some other accomplishment of an employee!

Remember that Special Someone with a Presenta Plaque on Veterans Day!

by Adam Solender | on Sep 19, 2017 | No Comments

Veterans Day is right around the corner, Saturday, November 11, 2017. It’s not too late, though, to order a box or two of Presenta Plaques to honor your heroes.

Our company works with large federal agencies such as the White House,  Department of Defense and the U.S. Secret Service. So, if you work in a government agency or a branch of the military, we can certainly help you with your needs in supplying plaques for those you wish to honor.

If you’re a business owner, a Presenta Plaque is a great way to show veterans at your company how much you appreciate their service. Why not have a short ceremony for the whole staff where you can present a plaque to a veteran?

Imagine the expression on your employees’ faces when everyone gathers around to see them accept a plaque for their service! Our plaques are relatively inexpensive but the impact they have comes out to a much greater value.

Presenta Plaque does not do engraving but rather sells plaques where you can slip a certificate into.

If you’re wondering what wording to include on a military plaque, you obviously want to start with the name of the individual including the rank and call sign (if applicable). Be extra careful to make sure capitalization, abbreviation and spelling is correct.

Next, include the organization name such as the department, squadron, battalion or team. If you’re giving the plaque during a recognition ceremony, then go ahead and put the date you’re giving it to the military member. Or you can write the dates of service. If you know of a significant contribution the service member made you can include that, too.

You can also include a slogan from the branch of the military the person served in and include a complimentary quote of appreciation.

We’re a veteran-owned business so we’re glad to help you with any of your needs!

Choosing the Right Words are Important on a Building Dedication Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Sep 13, 2017 | No Comments

Such a long list of ways to use Presenta Plaques. One that sometimes can be overlooked is a building dedication. If there’s a standout person who made the construction of a new building possible, why not memorialize them with a Presenta Plaque inside? Even if the dedication has already taken place, it’s never too late to hang a plaque reminding visitors who made it all possible.

One obstacle you might encounter is how to word a Presenta Plaque for a building. You want to make sure you get it right since words last forever. Getting the sentiment and message right can be a challenge, explaining why there’s a particular name on a building or who’s responsible for it.

It’s best to focus on one main thought. Maybe it’s the major contribution the person made or a highlight of their life. Always include dates on a building dedication plaque since it puts things more in perspective. Dates are a good way of connecting the present with the past.

In addition to the reason of the plaque and dates, you’ll want to include some type of tribute. It can simply be a thank you, a quote or even a few lines of poetry. The goal is to express the impact the person has made.

When writing a dedication, try to think how someone else might react to it when they see it for the first time. You might want to run it by a few associates before you put the certificate inside a Presenta Plaque.

Depending on the size of the building and the number of entrances, you might want to display several plaques around the building. You might also want to order extras to give to family members as a token of appreciation!

What to Write on a Certificate Inside a Presenta Plaque

by Adam Solender | on Aug 11, 2017 | No Comments

Whether you’re a business owner, non-profit, or a government agency, no doubt you’re needing at least a box of Presenta Plaques to keep on hand.

Even though you have the recipients picked out for the plaque, you might not be sure of the right words to use. Basically, there are no firm rules on how to word an award certificate, but there are some helpful guidelines to make it look more professional.

On most certificates, there are seven wording sections. As long as you put the title and name of the recipient, you can pretty much do what you want on the rest. For example, “Certificate of Appreciation” followed by the recipient’s name.

In between the title and name, you can always put the presentation line. i.e. Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to John Smith. Then you have the option of putting who the certificate is from whether it’s your name or your business. “….is awarded to John Smith by Mrs. Jones or by the Smith Company.”

If you wish, you can write a short paragraph about why the person is receiving the award. You can also add the date and a signature. Signatures make the certificate look more legitimate. Usually, a single signature line is either aligned to the right or centered. A graphic or a seal can also be placed in the lower right or left-hand corner.

So many options are available. If you haven’t already, order your box of Presenta Plaques now so you’ll be sure to have them for that special occasion.

Reasons to Give a Presenta Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Apr 27, 2017 | No Comments

Take a look around your office. Does it look a little bare? Maybe what’s missing is a Presenta Plaque. In fact, all offices look better with plaques hanging on the walls. It’s a good way to promote your achievements for others to see.

Presenta Plaques are also visually appealing. Picture a wall with nothing on it vs. a wall filled with plaques. Which do you think looks more impressive to clients or even business associates? Plaques are definitely a great decorating tool.

A Presenta Plaque is also a great start for a conversation. When visitors notice a plaque in your office with your achievements, it’ll create a good first impression. But many times it’ll prompt them to ask questions, starting a positive conversation.

Plaques are also a good way to establish credibility. Even though a client might have a good idea of your expertise and what you do, seeing your accomplishments hanging on a wall plaque can be even more impressive. A plaque showcasing your company also lends credibility.

A Presenta Plaque can also be a motivational tool for employees. Hanging plaques outside your office about the company’s success that also includes information about the contributions of employees, can be a real pick-me-up.

If nothing else, plaques are cheerful and can be a great reminder of your achievements, especially on days that are a little more challenging.

Government Officials Give Presenta Plaques to say Thanks!

by Presenta Plaque | on Mar 31, 2017 | No Comments

Elected officials are recognizing the importance of giving plagues to their constituents. The plague might be as a thank you for volunteer work or for honoring a job well done in the community.

Recently Pennsylvania Senator Mario Scavello showed his appreciation to the many people he serves.  Scavello used a Presenta Plaque to congratulate the Savage Wolves CrossFit on the recent grand opening of their new facility.

At another grand opening, Senator Scavello congratulated the TCC/The Cellular Connection with a Presenta Plaque to send best wishes for success.

In Dumas, Texas, Police Chief Nelson presented Officer Heathington with a Presenta Plaque to recognize her lifesaving efforts for saving the life of a citizen.

A Presenta Plaque was also used by the Champaign, Illinois Police Department to frame the Oath of Office taken by a police officer.

The City of North Miami Beach honored a couple of their employees with a special recognition plaque.

The list goes on and on. Whatever the occasion, a plaque from our company is a great way to show the appreciation an employee or citizen of a community deserves.

Student Sports and Educational Awards

Sure adults appreciate plaques for exceptional service or a job well done. Kids are no exception. They love to see an award they have earned up on a wall proudly displayed. Maybe it was the MVP of their sports team certificate or honor roll, possibly a community service award. Regardless of the type, having an award presented in a beautiful framed plaque will hold a special place in their heart being presented to them in front of their peers, teachers and parents at assemblies.

Honoring Employees with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Dec 22, 2016 | No Comments

Everyone wants to be recognized from time to time.  Whether it is a new business making a move into a community, perhaps it’s another business that does good towards others.  Whatever the case may be a recognition certificate is always nice to receive.

Recently two such groups received such recognition and they were given certificates by dignitaries that not only represent the city/town they are in but those who represent the region they reign from.  One of those was Local First Utah in Ogden, Utah.

Local First Utah is a non-profit organization that tries to strengthen communities and local economies by promoting, preserving and protecting local, independently owned businesses.  Local First knows how important it is to not only have commercial retailers, but mom and pop places as well.  Those mom and pop businesses can be seen as the backbone to the community and help to stimulate the local economy.

Recently the group was recognized before the Ogden city council in Ogden, Utah.  The group was recognized for their efforts at promoting local businesses, but the recognition had the goal of trying to encourage locals to shop local.

Now, this recognition could have just been done with a simple certificate to Local First Utah, but the city council and others took it a step further.  The certificate was also placed inside one of the Presenta Plaque plaque kits.  It not only preserves the certificate but it makes it easier to display and proudly show off for this group.  Although Local First Utah does a lot of their work without any type of recognition, it is nice for them to be celebrated for all that they do in this manner.

This was not the only time the city council there in Ogden used a Presenta Plaque kit to help recognize someone.  During another city council meeting one of our kits was used to house the certificate to recognize and honor the Honorary Mayor of Christmas Village and proclaim it Jo Packham Day.  The event and the addition of a plaque with the certificate declaring it a special day make for a memorable event for the person receiving  it, such as in the case of Jo Packham.

These gestures are not hard to accomplish and Presenta Plaque makes it so easy for people to do.  The kits come in stylish colors and types of materials.  They take the certificates and upgrade them into a whole new level.  Those receiving the awards or recognitions are already touched by the gesture, it just brings it up a notch for them.  So if you are getting ready to give someone a special ‘thank you’ perhaps upgrading it with a Presenta Plaque kit is the way to go.
