Rewarding Others

We Have A Lot to Be Thankful for This Thanksgiving!

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 20, 2017 | No Comments

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, our family at Presenta Plaque has a lot to be thankful for, including our great customers!

For all of you who have ordered plaques throughout the years, we thank you! We also hope you will keep us in mind heading into the New Year.

If you own a business, such as a restaurant, a Presenta Plaque is a classy way to display a write-up in the local paper and a certificate bragging about a great food inspection score.

Don’t forget about your employees. When they go the extra mile, what a great way to recognize all of their hard work than with a plaque? Be sure to include the employee’s name, date and/or date they started with your company, the company name along with an award title.

In addition to presenting plaques to employees, make duplicate plaques so you can prominently display them for customers. It’ll send a strong message you care about your staff. You could even do a customer appreciation day where you offer discounts, displayed on a plaque at the front, or recognize loyal customers by presenting them with a plaque.

During this season of giving, you might want to recognize that special volunteer. Thanking volunteers is not only good manners but a great way to build relationships. When their friends and family members see their Presenta Plaque, it could also encourage them to get involved with your cause and volunteer and/or donate.

Think about people at your church. As part of the congregation, you might want to do something nice for a person in charge whether it’s the minister, priest, rabbi, or someone else on the administrative staff.

Of course, there’s always going to be special occasions such as the birth of a new baby or baby dedications, weddings, anniversaries, or retirements. A plaque is a nice way to mark the special day!

Going into the New Year, there are plenty of reasons why you should order a box of plaques from us.  Order today!

Honor an Educator During National Educators Week

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 02, 2017 | No Comments

The National Education Association (NEA) – American Education Week is coming up November 13-17, 2017. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate public education and recognize those individuals who make a difference in educating children.

A Presenta Plaque is a great way to recognize these teachers and other professionals. Buy a box or two and distribute the plaques to all of the outstanding people who make a difference at a child’s school.

Even though the occasion is only a couple of weeks away, we can get your plaques to you if you order right away. Normal ground shipping takes five days.

Below is the theme for this year’s celebration. Make sure to get enough Presenta Plaques to honor those special people every day of the week.

◦ Monday, November 13, 2017: Kickoff Day

◦ Tuesday, November 14, 2017: Parents Day

◦ Wednesday, November 15, 2017: Education Support Professionals Day

◦ Thursday, November 16, 2017: Educator for a Day

◦ Friday, November 17, 2017: Substitute Educators Day

The first American Education Week was observed on December 4-10, 1921. It came about since it was discovered during World War I, 25-percent of the country’s draftees were illiterate. So, representatives of the NEA and the American Legion met in 1919 to brainstorm ideas to generate public support for education.

In 1921, the NEA in Des Moines, Iowa called for designating one week each year to spotlight public education in all communities. It’s always celebrated the week before Thanksgiving.

What are you waiting for? Order a box of Presenta Plaques today and honor that special educator!

’Tis the Season to Give a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 12, 2017 | No Comments

You probably would rather not think about it but the holidays are right around the corner. There are parties to plan, decorations to put up and gifts to give. Speaking of gifts, finding that perfect gift for a family member or friend can be a challenge. But what about employees?

There’s no better way to show your appreciation for a job well done than a Presenta Plaque. Order a box or two and you’ll have enough to give one to each of your employees.

A Presenta Plaque can be a unique keepsake that employees will cherish for years. Be sure to include the employee’s name, date and/or date they started with your company, the company name along with an award title.

The award title can be basic such as “Star Performer”, “Service Award”, “Over Achiever” and so on. But you could always have some fun with the awards by giving them to the “Best Baker” (for potlucks), “Best Organizer”, “Best Office Decor”, “Office Comedian”, “The Socializer”, “Best Coffee Maker” etc.

You might find employees displaying these plaques on their office or cubicle walls. Or they might take their Presenta Plaque home and find a good spot to show it off to family and friends.

Bottom line, it’ll be different than anything your employees have probably received and the plaque will have special meaning since you put some thought into it.

If you end up doing an end-of-the-year party, it would be the perfect time to hand out plaques to employees. An office gathering works well, too.

You might want to keep some extra Presenta Plaques on hand for the rest of the year in case you want to recognize a promotion, retirement or some other accomplishment of an employee!

Government Officials Give Presenta Plaques to say Thanks!

by Presenta Plaque | on Mar 31, 2017 | No Comments

Elected officials are recognizing the importance of giving plagues to their constituents. The plague might be as a thank you for volunteer work or for honoring a job well done in the community.

Recently Pennsylvania Senator Mario Scavello showed his appreciation to the many people he serves.  Scavello used a Presenta Plaque to congratulate the Savage Wolves CrossFit on the recent grand opening of their new facility.

At another grand opening, Senator Scavello congratulated the TCC/The Cellular Connection with a Presenta Plaque to send best wishes for success.

In Dumas, Texas, Police Chief Nelson presented Officer Heathington with a Presenta Plaque to recognize her lifesaving efforts for saving the life of a citizen.

A Presenta Plaque was also used by the Champaign, Illinois Police Department to frame the Oath of Office taken by a police officer.

The City of North Miami Beach honored a couple of their employees with a special recognition plaque.

The list goes on and on. Whatever the occasion, a plaque from our company is a great way to show the appreciation an employee or citizen of a community deserves.

Plaques to Celebrate Law Enforcement Officers

by Presenta Plaque | on Jan 25, 2017 | No Comments

In the United States, law enforcement officers put their lives at risk on the daily for the safekeeping and protection of others. They serve with valor, honor and distinction – and often with auspicious outcomes. However, the protection of law comes at a price. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund statistics, there are approximately 60,000 assaults on law enforcement officers each year, resulting in nearly 16,000 injuries, an average of 146 officers have been killed in line of duty and throughout the United States history, more than 20,000 law enforcement officers have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Even though there is no way to completely repay law enforcement officers, they should still be commended for their dedication. Our Presenta Plaque kits are the perfect way to honor their valor. In November of 2016, Lourenke Kidson of St. Louis County Police Department was honored with a plaque for returning to protect and serve, after leaving in 2012. In December of 2016, Sr. Officer Ronald Hall or “Pookie” was commended for his 30 years of excellence in service as a police officer for the Texas City Police Department. Officer Hall has never called in sick in the 30 years he has been of service and his extraordinary dedication did not go unnoticed.

Our law enforcement officers work hard and dedicate their lives to protect us. We should be aware of that and appreciate their hard work. Our plaques are accessible, ergonomic, versatile, functional and beautiful. What are you waiting for?  Check out our website for more information and how to place your order.

Honoring Employees with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Dec 22, 2016 | No Comments

Everyone wants to be recognized from time to time.  Whether it is a new business making a move into a community, perhaps it’s another business that does good towards others.  Whatever the case may be a recognition certificate is always nice to receive.

Recently two such groups received such recognition and they were given certificates by dignitaries that not only represent the city/town they are in but those who represent the region they reign from.  One of those was Local First Utah in Ogden, Utah.

Local First Utah is a non-profit organization that tries to strengthen communities and local economies by promoting, preserving and protecting local, independently owned businesses.  Local First knows how important it is to not only have commercial retailers, but mom and pop places as well.  Those mom and pop businesses can be seen as the backbone to the community and help to stimulate the local economy.

Recently the group was recognized before the Ogden city council in Ogden, Utah.  The group was recognized for their efforts at promoting local businesses, but the recognition had the goal of trying to encourage locals to shop local.

Now, this recognition could have just been done with a simple certificate to Local First Utah, but the city council and others took it a step further.  The certificate was also placed inside one of the Presenta Plaque plaque kits.  It not only preserves the certificate but it makes it easier to display and proudly show off for this group.  Although Local First Utah does a lot of their work without any type of recognition, it is nice for them to be celebrated for all that they do in this manner.

This was not the only time the city council there in Ogden used a Presenta Plaque kit to help recognize someone.  During another city council meeting one of our kits was used to house the certificate to recognize and honor the Honorary Mayor of Christmas Village and proclaim it Jo Packham Day.  The event and the addition of a plaque with the certificate declaring it a special day make for a memorable event for the person receiving  it, such as in the case of Jo Packham.

These gestures are not hard to accomplish and Presenta Plaque makes it so easy for people to do.  The kits come in stylish colors and types of materials.  They take the certificates and upgrade them into a whole new level.  Those receiving the awards or recognitions are already touched by the gesture, it just brings it up a notch for them.  So if you are getting ready to give someone a special ‘thank you’ perhaps upgrading it with a Presenta Plaque kit is the way to go.

Welcoming a New Business with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Nov 29, 2016 | No Comments

The mom and pop business is still a necessary part of our community.  These are the businesses started by everyday people that are not associated with a big box retailer or a larger commercial place.  These are the businesses that look forward to serving the community with their services and goods and ask nothing in return other than your continued support.  When these new businesses open up a lot of towns and municipalities welcome them to the fold and when they are welcomed they honored in a special way.

One such example is the newest business in Bangor, Pennsylvania titled “Grace on Broadway.”  “Grace on Broadway” is a store of odds and ends and refurbished furniture that many would describe as shabby chic.  They recently celebrated their Grand Opening in the small town of Bangor with a party of sorts that welcomed them into the community.  One of those in attendance for the event was Pennsylvania Senator Mario Scavello.  He attended the festivities to not only welcome them into the community but to celebrate the accomplishments of “Grace on Broadway” for achieving their goal to successfully open this business.  Not only did the store have a formal ribbon cutting, but during the ceremony, they were presented with an award of recognition by the senator.  The certificate was placed inside a Presenta Plaque kit and recognized their hard work and welcomed them into the town.

What makes this plaque so special is that this gives them a permanent reminder of what it was like to get this all put together.  This is something that can be proudly displayed in the store for all who visit to see.  It can serve as a reminder of the work they put into the business and the feeling they got when it was successfully opened.  It can help start up a wall within their shop where they can portray other achievements and milestones.  Perhaps the next plaque could be the first dollar they made.  Maybe there is a plaque to celebrate the 100th customer.  Another reason would be to recognize other employees when they do well.  Maybe it can be a reminder of their first anniversary.  Whatever the cause is Presenta Plaque has a plaque kit available to help you display it.

These small businesses work harder and longer days than most big box retailers.  Many times the people who own them are the only employees there and that means at least a six day work week to make sure their business thrives.  When they do a little recognition is nice and means the world to them.  You can only imagine what it felt like to have a Senator recognize the achievement of “Grace on Broadway” in Bangor, PA.  Presenta Plaque of course is proud to be a part of the recognition.

When you have a recognition come up like this, remember Presenta Plaque can help you properly display it.  Their plaque kits are stylish, affordable and easy to assemble.  It takes just a few moments of time to put this all together for a business, but the end result can and will last a lifetime.

Honoring Students with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Oct 26, 2016 | No Comments

Today our students are pulled in a variety of different directions.  They are bogged down with school lessons, homework and even extracurricular activities.  All of these things combined help students to get into the schools of their choice and show that they are well-rounded.  We should recognize these achievements with a plaque and as parents show them off as they happen.

Good grades are expected when you are in school, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t take work to achieve.  For some students those good grades take hours of discipline and dedication to the schoolwork to get in the school’s good graces.  When those good test scores come in or good report cards, they should be celebrated and recognized.  Why not display it an elegant manner.  Our Presenta Plaque kits are the perfect way to display those perfect scores.  You can place them up in your home in a prominent location.  The act shows not only that you are proud of the achievement but it can also serve as motivation for the student as well.

A lot of our students are involved with extracurricular activities such as athletics or academic clubs.  While they are involved in those activities, there will be events you want to preserve and remember.  Maybe it’s a photo taken after scoring the winning point.  Perhaps it is the program from a convention they attended with an academic team.  These memories can all be perfectly framed in one of our plaque kits.  They serve as a permanent reminder of that time and something that can stimulate not only conversation but memories of that occasion.

Finally what about the acceptance letter to the university or college?  All of this work ultimately goes towards that goal.  The dream college your child has worked towards.  The first step they are taking towards adulthood.  Show it off, frame the letter and let the world see that accomplishment on paper.  Be proud of the hard work that went into it and the end result because of it.

Recently the Rotary Club of Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado recognized one of these student achievers.  Alec  Greven was recently named the “Rotary Student of the Month” for the Rotary Club of Castle Rock.  The group used a Presenta Plaque kit to present him with an award recognizing this honor.   Alec was presented the award during the group’s monthly meeting by Castle View High School principal, Rex Corr and the Rotary’s president, Jerry Lionetti.  The award was presented in front of family and friends and it being placed inside a Presenta Plaque made it feel more substantial than just being handed a certificate.  It is something this student will remember and display with pride and will be something he can pull out in the future to look at and be reminded of.

Know your students work hard.  Their hard work should be recognized where possible.  Our kits help you do so with ease.  Maybe the next time you want to remind someone of their special achievement check out one of our plaque kits to do so.

Show Kids You Care with a Plaque

by Presenta Plaque | on Aug 17, 2016 | No Comments

School is back in session which means in some cases your child has work to do at their job, school, and at home after.  Just because the school year has started it doesn’t mean that household chores get put on hold.  On the contrary, that just means your child may be getting pulled in different directions.

Children need motivation when it comes to keeping up with both schoolwork and housework.  No one wants to do something where they are not recognized for their efforts.  Why not as parents start a recognition program that will help motivate them both at home and at school.

Certificates are an easy way to acknowledge good work and show you care what your child does.  Certificates can be printed off online for just about any topic and subject possible.  They are an easy way to not only recognize a job well done, but that simple bit of encouragement will be a motivation for your child to continue their good work.

There are a lot of topics where parents can print out certificates to recognize their child.  Starting with the work they are responsible for around the house.  No one likes chores, but they especially do not like them when no one recognizes their efforts for doing them.  Why not keep your child motivated by showing them you see what they contribute around the house.

There are some parents that say, ‘why should I recognize my child for doing what is expected of them,’ the answer is simple, because it is a nice pick-me-up.  When you are at work, you do what is expected of you, but you still enjoy when the boss or someone tells you when you did a job well done.  The feeling is no different when it comes to your child.  Maybe your children have a hard time getting along with one another, maybe they don’t enjoy picking up their things in their room or making a bed or helping with dinner.  Perhaps a certificate or reward system will be just the motivation they need.  Maybe your child made their bed without being reminded.  Perhaps they handled a disagreement with a sibling in a civilized manner or maybe they offered to help with dinner before being asked.  All of these things deserve some sort of recognition.  A certificate or plaque may be the thing that motivates them to keep helping out on their own.

School is another area where you can celebrate your child’s accomplishments.  Not every student is good at every subject.  Some students struggle with subjects like English and Math.  Why not recognize when they do well in these challenging subjects.  A high score on an assignment, quiz or test is a big deal for a child who has to work twice as hard for those good grades.  You can print off something that tells them about a job well done.  Maybe a perfect attendance recognition is in order.  Maybe your child isn’t particularly athletic but did well in gym class.  Whatever it is it takes no effort to put it down on paper.

Once you get those awards together, place them on one of our plaque kits.  They make displaying the award simple and fun.  What kid doesn’t enjoy their friends walking in and seeing an award given to them on display.  The kits are simple to use and hang with ease.

Psychologists say these recognitions are vital to your child’s development.  They help them develop a stronger sense of self-esteem.  That boost in confidence is enough to keep them motivated to keep up the good work.

Call us today and we can get you started with one of these kits.  You will be surprised on how easy they are to put together.  More importantly you will be excited to see the end result on your wall and what it does for your child’s self-esteem.

Everyday Ways to Honor Our Military

by Presenta Plaque | on Jun 14, 2016 | No Comments

This 4th of July will mark America’s 240th birthday. It’s hard to imagine the country we have today without the brave men and women who protect it here at home and overseas every day. So in honor of this birthday, we’re thinking of ways to honor the men and women who keep America the beautiful safe and sound every day.

1. 4th of July Block Party for Veterans

If your HOA allows it, why not throw an all-out block party for everyone, especially veterans and military members? Enlist neighbors and friends to contribute somehow, with food or donations to help make this a special day for former and active military members in your neighborhood.

2. Discounts at Local Businesses

Local businesses and privately owned businesses are often easier to sway into discounts. Gather up some of your friends and family who support the cause and ask local businesses if they’d be willing to give a percentage off for active military, veterans and maybe even their families! Once you know what small businesses in your neighborhood are willing to donate and discount, make sure to spread the word through a Facebook group so they can be easily found.

3. Organize a Thank You Campaign

Many people underestimate the power of a simple thank you card. Get together with local schools and organize a thank you card campaign to send to military overseas, especially around military holidays. Hearing from the little ones back home can mean a lot to those in stressful situations often feeling alone or frustrated.

4. Talk to them About Their Time in the Military

Though it might be a sensitive subject for some, there are plenty of active military and veterans who would love to share their experiences with someone willing to truly listen. So many of us know friends and family who served, yet the topic only comes up every so often. Take some time to truly connect and make them feel valued for the service they gave to this country.

5. Give Them Their Own Plaque

Awards in the military are a true honor. While our military does a fine job thanking men and women for their service, it’s not often they get that same gratefulness and comradery here at home. Award someone who is important to you for their service and let them know how much it means to you and others around you.
